Introducing Alise Johnson: Meet Our New Second Grade Teacher
We are excited to welcome Alise Johnson as the new 2nd-grade teacher at Our Lady of the Elms School. Mrs. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kent State University, where she excelled academically, earning a place on the Dean’s List. With her Ohio Resident Educator license for Pre K-5 and certification in International Baccalaureate Teaching and Learning, Alise brings a well-rounded, global approach to education that will enrich our students’ learning experiences.
Mrs. Johnson joins us with a diverse and robust background in early childhood education. Her experience spans across multiple grade levels and educational settings, from long-term preschool substitute teaching to kindergarten student teaching in Tallmadge Elementary, where she developed and implemented comprehensive lesson plans and led student-driven learning activities.
Alise’s expertise extends beyond traditional classroom instruction. Her work as a summer camp counselor for children with special needs at Happy Days Camp demonstrates her strong commitment to inclusion and differentiated instruction. Her ability to create engaging, safe, and supportive learning environments for students with diverse needs makes her an invaluable asset to our team.
